Dialog of the Body: Lenten Soup Supper Series
At Christmas, I was told that my former congregation was able to hang hay from the ceiling of the nave to reflect a manger. When I heard this, I thought that it was a brilliant idea, as it reminds the congregation that they are the body of Christ. I also thought, we really need more reminders of this daunting and exciting fact. What does it mean to be the body of Christ? Where is "the body" in what we do and say as the Church? How does it affect us at UniLu when we see the corpus [the body of Jesus] hanging from the cross in our own nave? This Lent, we will ponder and discuss these and many more questions at our Lenten Soup Supper and Eucharist Series: Dialog of the Body.
The Corinthian baptized were quite an interesting lot. Paul's correspondence with the Corinthian Church gives us a glimpse of a sometimes fractured, sometimes troubled, and always challenging congregation. We will spend time with Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians, followed by a short devotion, and then we will respond by speaking with one another about these matters.
You are invited to join us every Wednesday, from 24 February through 24 March at 6.30pm for good food, good conversation, good fellowship, and good worship!
