The ELCA calls persons to advocate justice with and for those without power and voice in places where important political and economic decisions are being made that affect the lives of those who are marginalized. Help Restock Area Lutheran Food Banks
The current ecomomic crisis has put a strain on the food banks run by neighboring Lutheran Parishes at Grace and at Tabernacle Churches. There is a basket in the Narthex where you can leave your donations of unopened, non-perishable food items. Often at the supermarkets there will be sales when you purchase more than one item: please consider the needs of the less fortunate when you are shopping and buy an extra can or two to bring to church for the food baks.
