“So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.” - Galatians 6:9-10

Members, alumni, and friends of the University Lutheran Church community are generous givers of their time, talents, service, and treasures. Gifts enable us to glorify God through music, art, learning, discussion, and service in the community. We welcome all gifts that support the ministry and mission of our community—on campus, in the city, and beyond.

organ fundraising campaign

Several years ago, our organ service provider notified the church council that our organ was no longer serviceable. After a long search, and with the patient support of Adam F. Dieffenbach of Emery Brothers, a used Teller organ has been identified that will be ideal for the size and qualities of our sanctuary. It offers twice the pipe capacity of our current instrument, and it will do a fine job supporting congregational singing, as well as solo performances.

This used organ has been carefully stored in a climate-controlled facility for several years, after being professionally disassembled and removed from a UCC Church in Lancaster following its closure. The proximity of the instrument, and that it has already been disassembled, makes it the best and most affordable option for our congregation, at a cost of $85,227 to purchase, transport, and install the organ, including an updated control system. A new organ of this size, in contrast, would cost nearly $300,000.

Over the past few years, UniLu has been able to set aside $45,227 towards the replacement of our current organ.  Additionally, two generous members of the congregation have already committed $25,000 towards this project.  Now we ask you to help us reach the final goal of raising $15,000. Please consider investing in the music of this church and supporting the future of our congregation’s worship life, that our gifts together might make music.

To make a gift and help us reach our goal of $15,000, submit a donation (by mail or online) with the memo “Organ Campaign.”
